Yesterday was Mary Kate and Ashley's birthday. If you don't already know, I think I was Mary Kate in a previous life. That makes Michael Doxey my Ashley. So why not some songs from their musical days?

I distinctly remember wanting to be...Ashley. I think it was the pursing of the lips, she was so dainty.

So Moz decided to lay in front of our baby Christmas tree today and make himself a tree skirt (thanks Starry for giving him the official title). It was rather cute so I figured it must be documented. It's pretty quiet here on a Tuesday. It's feeling rather festive (mostly because it's rainy and stormy) around these parts. So festive that I make several trips to Target throughout the week looking like an even homeless-er Olsen twin (MY GOAL IN LIFE).

Good lord, who lets me go out like that? Me.

And no I am not talking about New York Minute which is a fantastic cinematic adventure. I am talking about the episode of Full House where Papouli (their Greek grandfather) passes away. Tears, you guys, real tears. I cannot watch this without tearing up, and SHE DOES A GOOD JOB.

I still think that Michelle and Uncle Jesse had a rather creepy relationship, but it's scenes like this that make me forget that.


My source says it's Ashley that does the serious scenes. Of course it is.

sunday thought bubbles

Yesterday I literally (I mean that) spent all afternoon in bed finishing season 4 of Breaking Bad. Obsessed much? I think so. We were out of Tab so I had to drink Fresca. Never again. I feel like I need to take one night a week to indulge my girly side. Be it trying on dresses at Target or something as simple as painting my nails. I neeeeed that, so I must figure out a way to incorporate "being more girly" into my life. I have a friend who has not seen: Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, or Ghost so now I feel the need to educate her. One day, my dear, one day. I can't figure out why I like the Olsen twins but I watched Beastly last night and where I should have hated it, I totally didn't. Ohh, Zack just brought home some Tab, righteous.

I'll discuss the funness of this weekend probably tomorrow, but for today I will leave you with a few wordly gems.

Zack to me in the grocery store this morning: I haven't spent enough time looking at cocoa butter.
Michael Doxey to his boyfriend Jason while buying my birthday gift last night: Just go to the store and pick out something Mary-Kate or Ashley would wear.

I have people that love me. This morning I discovered that my style is a wee bit Mary-Kate and a wee bit Carrie Bradshaw. Not half bad!

i want to be the third olsen twin

...not the triplet, the twin...take note.

The last few days I've been oddly obsessed with all things Mary-Kate and Ashley. I've loved them since I was in high school, Mary-Kate is the reason I will always use a Blackberry (though I'm pretty sure she uses an iphone now) and I'm okay with wearing random kimonos around the house. I think they're hauntingly stunning and I could look at photos for them for hours. They're so stylish even when they aren't even trying, how do you even pull that off? Sure they've had their issues, but who hasn't. I'm sure I'd be a little nuts if I'd been in the spotlight since I was nine months.

I AM DYING RIGHT NOW and cannot wait to share this. Okay, I've admitted more times than I should admit, much to Zack's dismay, how much I love Zooey Deschanel. Now that DOES NOT mean that sometimes she cannot be 9 kinds of ridiculous. My friend Gina pointed me in the direction of this lovely lady, Noel Kristi Wells, who is now my new best friend (sorry mom).

Basically, she does these fantastic impressions of celebrities including Zooey Deschanel and she is quite the spot on.

She also has a character reel and I am convinced she IS Mary-Kate Olsen and Kristen Stewart...she is just too good.
