you're the blank to my blank

Monday at 11:54pm, Doxey sent me this article from Buzzfeed. I was in and out of my sleepy Saved By The Bell haze (sometimes I fall asleep to it) but I was awake enough to click the link and view the bounty of friendship necklaces/charms that were before me.

A favorite, obviously, based on my halloween costume:

It obviously got me to thinking about other potential necklace combinations that could work in my favor.

My obvious favorite bff/twins...

Mary-Kate and Ashley. These chicks deserve necklaces or key chains at the very least. Chose from ultra modern Olsen (pictured) or go younger made-for-fox-family movie Olsen. Or anywhere in between since they've basically been around the majority of if not our entire lives.

DJ and Kimmy.

I don't think you get any more BFF than this, seriously. AND THEY ARE STILL FRIENDS. Obviously it's a sign, just LOOK AT THIS.

Wow, two right in a row from Full House. Stellar.

Kelly and Brenda.

For the frenemy in your life (we all have one, don't lie). They copy your style, they steal your boyfriend but it's all good because you're there for each other through the big stuff like drinking and diet pills. Wasn't 90210 great?

The Breakfast Club.

Maybe you have multiple bff's and can't decide. Pick necklace/key chain/charm resembling the loving "misfits" of The Breakfast Club. As much as I wanted to be a Claire growing up I'm honestly more of a Brian.

There are any number of epic combinations out there, you just have to find one that fits you. Maybe you're a Tim Taylor and an Al Borland? Possibly a Rhoda and a Mary? Four bffs? Why not get them Dale Gribble, Boomhauer, Bill Dauterive and Hank Hill matchies? Maybe you have a creepy Three's Company situation with two women (if you're a dude)? Who knows, I'm not going to judge you. Basically google "custom photo key chains" or "necklaces" or "shot glasses" and get on that, they're pretty simple and easy to find. This is how I DIY. Google and then pay someone else to do it. It works for me.

dear netflix

Why. Why did you take down King of the Hill after three years? Couldn't it have just been one of those shows that didn't need to expire? I don't care how many view it got, for three years since it has been up we have RELIGIOUSLY fallen asleep to that every night. It was a ritual, sometimes we were not able to sleep without it. I have no idea what I am going to do with myself now. Fall asleep without the voices of Arlen in my head? WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO FALL ASLEEP TO FRASIER? IT'S NOT THE SAME. DAMNIT BOBBY.

Oh good, Amazon Prime has it streaming.

It's a comfort thing, you understand right?

things i learned from king of the hill

When it's time for us to go to bed in the Shutt household there is only one television program we can both agree on to lull us to sleep.

I wouldn't say that I've always been a fan of King Of The Hill but as of late, it's the only thing I can fall asleep to. Hank, Peggy and Bobby Hill, Luanne Platter, Dale Gribble, Bill Dautrieve and Boomhauer...oh you are all my best friends.

King Of The Hill is a family show, and with that comes family values and lessons.

1. It is okay to get sentimental over a motor vehicle. In Chasing Bobby, Hank attends a somewhat of a chick flick with Peggy only to find himself emotional during a pivotal father/son scene. Thinking it's due to the strained relationship between Hank and his father Cotton, Peggy tries to force Hank to spend more time with Bobby. Later discovered, he saw it as the relationship between him and his reliable pickup. It was time to let her go and it was okay.

2. Big feet, or any attribute you may not enjoy about yourself, can be sexy. As Peggy finally feels comfortable in her size 16 feet, in the episode Transnational Amusement Presents: Peggy's Magic Sex Feet she is recruited unknowingly to start in a fetish film. Poor Peggy. Your feet are still sexy, fetish film and all.

3. Don't piss off Randy Travis. In Peggy's Fan Fare, Peggy (I love Peggy Hill, I just want to throw that out there) writes a song and sends it to Randy Travis. She receives a letter from his lawyer telling her to never give up on her writing dream. Later at a Texas country music festival, she discovers none other than Randy Travis singing her song! That dbag. So she does what anyone would do, and tries to kill him by pushing his trailer into the water...but then she saves him...only for him to not apologize. See? Dbag.

4. When life gets hard you can pray to Buckley's Angel. Buckley is Luanne's boyfriend and he perishes in a propane explosion at the Megalomart in season 3. Later in the season, in the episode Wings Of The Dope Buckley comes to Luanne on the trampoline and utters the world every gal wants to hear from her dead boyfriend..."hey". Believing him to be an angel sent to help her, Bill also begins to pray to Buckley's angel...and so does Kahn.

5. The government is out to get you...just ask Rusty Shackleford. That's all I have to say about that.

Yup. Yuuuup. Yup.
