Enjoying refreshing TaB's, while indulging in some really good and really bad television.
Oy with the Thursdays already. Luckily some of these gems showed up early in my life. We have Sean Saves The World, Parenthood, The Crazy Ones, The Michael J Fox Show, Glee, Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy and oh yeah, Reign.
This has been one of my favorite Sean's. Don't I say that every week? Probably. But honestly I love that his daughter had a legit part in the episode. It's about time, even if she did get off for all of her bad behavior, I still laughed.
MJF got me a bit misty at the end. Whatever Michael and his older son were off doing, I thought the mother/daughter/aunt bonding was a nice touch, especially at the end with the huge hug/cry? Gah, tears man. And little boy (let's just assume I won't learn names of anyone ever)"taking" all of their things?? He sure taught them a lesson.
I had a feeling about Parenthood. Amber has a feeling about Ryan. Something is going to go down there, I'm just holding my breath. And I realize that Millie needed her space but it breaks my heart to see how much Zeek misses her. I'm glad Lorelai is getting out there and doing things though I missed Ray Romano. And Max, where was Max? And Drew? All the kids have moved on? Not my favorite. I like that Jabbar is getting down with the ballet. I think he is good at it.
Sidenote how is it that for the most part I know all the names on Parenthood and no other show? Priorities, I think.
I'm not sure if Big Bang Theory intended to remind me of the absurd late fees of the now-defunt Blockbuster or not but they did and it make me nostalgic and then angry. Late fees were the worse, I'm glad that Blockbuster is no more! I kid. But for real, Sheldon...well played. And Leonard never wear that sweater again.
Gleeeeeeeee. Unique's story actually touched me a bit, but really it was Rachel's "Finn" tattoo. I didn't see it coming until it was there. I cried a little, I just wish Kurt would re-think the tongue piercing. "It's got Bette Midler".
Holy hell one of the best Grey's in a way long time. It reminds me of the episodes that used to make me have anxiety and then make be bawl within the 42 minute time slot. I also really enjoyed the narration by someone other than annoying Meredith for a change. Callie isn't one of my favorite characters but it was nice to get an insight into her relationship with Arizona. And the losing of the baby, really sad. And as much as I felt for the skateboarder/snowboarder dude, I honestly was happy they ruled in Callie's favor.
Reign has gotten me twice in a row now, how is this show not doing better? I knew the Queen was behind Olivia's comeback. I feel strange we haven't been told about Olivia until know, though I think that was their intentions it didn't feel right. As much as I like the Prince, I do like his bastard brother slightly more so I don't mind he kissed Mary. Not in the least.
After last week, The Crazy Ones was sub par, but hooray for continuously awesome guest stars, even if they are super duper creepy. I feel bad they don't let the curly haired doodle in on secrets, is he like the Screech of the group or what now?
