169. another successful weekend behind me

This weekend, for at least one hour, I was productive. Granted, this was on Sunday, probably the day I should have spent being least productive. I helped Zack clean out the garage for a whopping 2 hours and I was wearing a fuzzy sweater! In my defense, I didn't realize that I would be doing such chores or I would have opted for one of his t-shirts, but I digress.

And what did you do this weekend?

I also forced Zack to watch three hours of Revenge, just because it is so good and I want someone to watch it with me on Wednesday nights. I think he liked it, because hello, it's like a grown-up OC but with murder! (Do I sound too excited about murder? Moving on...)

Now to brave the week? Rain seems to be prominent this morning and I will forever enjoy the Portland weather as long as I can. Winter cannot come soon enough and then cannot be over soon enough (like the day after Christmas), and we have lots of big plans coming for the new year. Life is pretty good right now, I don't have much to complain about (except baseball ruining Fox Tuesday's lineup for me). I'm going to find every excuse I can to write more even if it's just ramblings like today, it still gets my juices flowing and can hopefully produce more quality work.

Happy Monday, ya'll.

In keeping with (an old) tradition I thought this Monday I would post another edition of Weird Music From My Childhood. This one is a classic and alas it is not a country song (I think this is the first pop-song-ish thing on the list!) because I did listen to something other than Garth Brooks. A little background.

When I was about five or six years old my favorite thing to do during bathtime was to watch the last 10 minutes of Grease 2. What's that? You didn't know Grease had a sequel? Well, I didn't know Grease had a prequel and after I found out I resented it greatly. Anyhow, my mother would put on Grease 2, the last 10 minutes, and I'd watch it while bathing. After watching the following video this will make more sense I'm sure, but as the song neared its climax, my mom would wrap a towel around me and we would twirl. Yes, twirl. We'd sing and twirl and I would be the happiest girl ever. Now, come to find out there was more than just 10 minutes of greatness. There was a whole 115 minutes of Stephanie Zinone and Michael Carrington, (pre-Rex Manning) that I could enjoy in or out of the bathtub! And then, much to my dismay, it was revealed that there was an actual Grease, and I realized it just wasn't as good (please don't throw things, this is strictly my opinion). I'm sure at some point I will write an entire article about Grease 2 itself, but for now I will leave you with my favorite part, the twirly part.

Good Monday.
