Mainly because of the blogger "meltdown" I'm two posts down...I may restore them later but this one will be the new 108 for now.
I'm currently manning the desk at the Utah Pride Center for my first official volunteer shift. I think this is going to be so rad.
Chris came in and trained me and left about 10:30...so I've been on my own for almost 45 whole minutes! It's sweet. I've answered the phone, eaten a breakfast burrito and had two iced chai lattes (I firmly believe it may be the best iced chai I have had). I've learned a lot and think that this is going to be a really great experience for me. I like the feeling of helping people and this is a cause that is very dear to my heart. I can't wait to share more.

This sounds fun. I bet they are super busy with the pride festival coming up. Who knows maybe this volunteer work will lead to something great.
