At work, in between the actual work part, we can watch dvds. I've been through a bunch of shows, Gilmore Girls, Grey's Anatomy, Six Feet Under, to name a few....recently I started watching Roswell again. If you know me, this is normal and not weird at all. I just haven't watched the series in it's entirety for many, many moons so I thought why not. At home, on hulu, Husband and I have been watching endless episodes of The X-Files so I'm happy to be back in my sci-fi comfort zone.
When Roswell ended (May 14, 2002) I was pretty much devestated, true story. So devestated, that I wrote a song about it to the tune of American Pie.
A long, long time ago I can still remember how that show could always make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance, I could believe in the romance and maybe I'd be happy for a while.
But May 14th dragged on like winter,
My stomach knotted, my throat was bitter.
Bad news coming my way, I didn't know what to say.
I can remember and I did cry, when JK (Jason Katims) came floating by
And something touched me deep inside the day that Roswell died.
I was singing...
Bye, bye, my dear Roswell has died
No more M&M or M&L, they've all said goodbye.
The Crashdown Cafe has closed it's doors on my life,
Saying 'Please enjoy your Men In Blackberry pie'.
RIP.
