031. 7 and 7

Today I get to admit 7 embarrassing things about me when I was younger. YAY.

1. In middle school my friend Missy and I used to call the local college station (Weber State’s 88.1 The Beat holla) and use fake names to request songs from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

2. A sampling of the concerts I attended in early high school, before I really liked music: Creed, Matchbox20, Dixie Chicks.

3. In second grade I had a really hard time learning volume so my teacher kept me in at recess and we’d fill milk jugs with water.

4. I played with Barbie Dolls until I was 13. Fine, until I was 14. I had a cupboard in my bedroom that used to have towels and one night I cleaned it out and made a two story Barbie house that was so effing epic. I made things out of construction paper and beds out of shoeboxes and because it was in a cupboard, it was hidden from all my friends so they wouldn’t know how lame I was.

5. My friend Brittany and I wanted to be Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Basically does that mean we wanted to be prostitutes?

6. I used to roller skate in my front yard. Also sometimes my friends and I would put on concerts for my mom on our front porch.

7. I got in trouble in elementary school for starting a cheerleading squad and posting fliers all over the school to meet for auditions. The principal told me that I couldn’t discriminate or start a squad. Way to kill my dreams.
