I received a text message late Wednesday night from my friend Lindsay warning me that winds were coming to my area. I didn't think much of it, mainly becuase we've had high winds before and nothing has really happend. About 2am Zack wakes up because the wind is so loud. I can easily sleep through it, though with him awake it's a little harder (I'm needy, so what?). About 6am I'm wide awake and I've found we've lost one side of our rotted brown fence. I do love rotted brown fence but I'm not entirely surprised...because it is rotted. Now at this point we're doing recon to fix rotted fence, mainly so our doggies can go potty (I say potty like I'm 12, so what?) and in this time (about 2 hours) two more sides of our fence has blown down! Ha. However I do consider ourselves lucky because we did not lose a roof like so many of our neighbors.
As of now, we have power, we still don't have internet as far as I know, but we're getting to that. We spent a lot of time in front of the fire, in the dark, playing Phase 10. It's interest that I really do rely on technology so much, but I felt odd not being able to watch the news!
