This is odd. I feel like being insightful.
It's 1:16 am and I'm listening to Zack be a badass on the radio. I love him, I totally have my soulmate and it rules. He is everything to me and I couldn't be happier that we get to chill out for the rest of our lives together and just...be.
I have Aadi licking my leg and Mozzy asleep at my feet and Friends playing when Zack isn't talking and life is perfect. As stressful, negative, blah, wonky as things have been life truly is good. SO many possibilities for the future and where our lives are going and how we're choosing to spend our time and who with.
I'm a chick of few friends but the ones I do have complete me.
I can't explain and I am not sure exactly where this is coming from but I feel really blessed and happy and lovey and yadda.
On the other hand, I bought a bomb leather jacket today at the DI. Word.

why can't i have a house elf?

Amazing ramblings ahead, just warning you.
I'd like to thank Candice for this title, via a discussion I had with her and Sarah on Saturday. Sometimes I could really use a house elf. I don't like the idea of slavery but sometimes the Tab in the fridge is just too far away from my bed. Seriously.
I found this post and it made me really sad because I can never have these things. I'll never get to go to Hogwarts and later graduate and attend Starfleet Academy and then retire in the Shire (I did not mean to rhyme that). None of this will ever happen.
Pottermore gave me a sense of belonging for a while when WoW was giving me headaches. I get my biggest letdowns from worlds that aren't real. Roswell ending tore my world apart, every time I re-watch The Golden Girls I have to remember it ends, too. At least Zack and Kelly got married, hopefully they're still together and now they're sending their kids off to Bayside where Screech is probably the principal. I don't even want to think about that. Did Rory call Jess as soon as she finished working with Obama? At least I'm going to find out what became of The Bluth family here in a year or so. Ah, closure.
Before I go to bed my thoughts are totally jumbled. I'm excited that I got the get them out tonight, hopefully it'll help with a restful sleep.

tidbits and bobbles

I've gained a few new followers in the last little bit so I thought I'd say a wee bit more about myself. I figure if you're interested in my blog it's not because you think I'm totally awesome. My job now is to convince you that I'm kind of awesome.
So I'm Jordan, born and raised in good ol' Utah (from Ogden, currently reside in Bountiful). I hang out with my husband Zack and our two doggies, Moz and Aadi. I work for a utility company but I am trying (hard yet unsuccessfully thus far) to delve into the world of freelance, blogging, writing, all of the above. Dream job? Be Laurie Notaro. So far, I haven't even received a reply to the email I sent her three years ago, still waiting... I am an avid Golden Girls fan, I can tell you basically everything about them and their extended families (including kids names, spouses, locations and jobs). I love Tab and hamburgers, I cannot cook but I do make the occasional grown up mac and cheese (that's mac and cheese + wine). I watch a lot of bad movies including but not limited to: Grease 2, New York Minute, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and The Craft. I really like music, mostly classic rock (I can hum most Rush songs) and classic but not too classic country (mainly Garth Brooks, he is indeed country God). I've been known though to listen to a bunch of 2002-2003 pop punk, mainly Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy pre-From Under The Cork Tree and Mest. I have two very close friends and several acquaintances I am still in touch with that I met via a Good Charlotte message board. When I was 14 I was really obsessed with the show Roswell and I still am, all of my VHS tapes are in the garage. I still get really into television shows at an almost unhealthy level, but I look at it as having an active social life. I have four tattoos: Star Trek communicator behind one ear, Roswell orb behind the other, music notes on my foot and the lyrics to the Brand New song Play Crack The Sky on my back "Love is a risk" which Zack keeps telling me I need to change to "Love is like Risk" and then tattoo a photo of the board game beneath it. I have replaced drinking soda at night with drinking tea to help me pee less and I still pee a lot. I think it's just part of getting older. My husband wrote a freaking book, I find that to be really sexy. He supports my silly blogging addiction and that really means the world to me. I still sleep with my Snuggle Bear and probably will until I die, therefore our bed is crowded with Zack, two doggys, Snuggle bear and me. My go-to karaoke songs are Take It On The Run by REO Speedwagon and Talk Dirty To Me by Poison, but I'm really determined to master some Rush or Losing My Religion by REM. My big kid drink of choice is beer, sometimes wine, I'm not big on the hard stuff, but I did discover cake flavored vodka via my sister-in-law and it's kind of pleasant. I really miss working at Target, it's kind of my holy land. I just now thought it was Tuesday and I had missed Glee and New Girl but I'm really happy it's only Monday (never thought those words would leave my mouth). Dexter hasn't finished downloading yet ugh.
Good thoughts going. Thank you for playing.
