happy sunday

Hope that everyone is having an enjoyable weekend. So far ours has been great, I'll recap it on Monday. At this time I will continue to sit on my ass, drinking really good hazelnut coffee that is strong because I didn't make it, Zack did, and prepare for an adventurous Sunday. I've been re-living old music and though I'd share this gem I've been dancing to this morning. See ya later!

sunday morning outing

This morning I was craving actually leaving the house, which is very rare for me on a Sunday. Sunday's in Shuttdom are about staying in bed all day and watching tv (currently we're obsessed with The Big Bang Theory). I felt like I needed to be outside for at least an hour, so what better idea than to head to the Gateway Mall for some coffee or in my case, chai tea (I already had two cups of coffee before we even left, I needed a change).

We went into Zack's favorite store, Anthropologie to look at everything I want yet cannot afford. Zack only made fun of my grandma sweater obsession 3 times, quite low.

It was quite the fun morning.

coffee table, hold the coffee

I quite enjoy coffee table books. I'm a sucker for looking at anything pretty and also, reading anything pretty. I don't have many, but I hope to someday expand my collection (I have at least 4 which according to Zack is almost a collection!). Some favorites that I own:

Ah, Misshapes. I bought this book when it came out because at the time I was obsessed with being author and DJ Ultragrrrl aka Sarah Lewitinn. This book highlights photos of the club goers of the NYC hot spot "Misshapes". It's fun if you like looking at photos of hipsters and random celebrities like Mandy Moore.

Hippie. I got this book on the very cheap at Barnes & Noble, and I've looked through it at least one-hundred times. All the best of times, worst of times of the sixties with many beautiful photographs.

The Fashion Book. I received this as a gift from a friend after high school. This book showcases almost everything in fashion from designers to models to musicans and actors, it does not miss a beat if you enjoy looking at couture.

No secret, I love me some Mary-Kate & Ashley....clearly. In this book they interview those who have influenced them. Photographers, designers, American icons, you name it. They also interview each other and share pieces from their personal lives.

This upcoming holiday season there are a few more I'd like to add to my "collection". Here is just a taste.

coffee is so good

Last night while watching the news (which I am not a fan of, so depressing....haha) I discovered that according to ABC, if a woman drinks more than 3 cups of coffee a day, her risk of contracting skin cancer is less than 20%. I'm not sure where they get this information and I don't care, bring on the coffee! I guess I need to add just one more cup to my morning routine, and considering my nickname in high school was the albino lobster (given for my white skin and my ability to sunburn after five minutes outside) this was music to my pale little ears!

Maybe the news is worthwhile?
