Enjoying refreshing TaB's, while indulging in some really good and really bad television.

Monday was pretty progressive. HIMYM was a little on the eh side, just have the mother show up already come on. There is a mom but she is on Mom and I met her on the very first episode. Hostages just keeps creeping me out more and more but I can't stop watching. And now that I'm on the current season of Downton...



I want to keep loving HIMYM, I truly do but I'm getting to the point where they need to move the story line along. I will admit I was rather bored with last nights. I laughed a few times and Robin can do no wrong in her catsuit but other than that I was just waiting for something big to happen. The last few seasons building up to the mother had a lot of tender moments and maybe everything seems lackluster now that she's here. Even that simple moment a few episodes back where Ted was having a conversation with future mom and the montage at the table, etc, got me. Can't we just see a yellow umbrella walk past the window? An easter egg? Anything? Give me something please.

Hostages, luckily, has gotten progressively better. Between Billy Walsh and Nikita girl hijacking the money she owes and the entire family ganging up on the mentally unstable sister I just don't know, but my head hurt when I was finished.

Unfortunately this was my least favorite episode of Mom so far. I desperately needed this Marjorie lady to be played by Catherine O'Hara and then I would have never ever said another bad thing about this show ever. Justin Long kept me entertained, and there wasn't enough Janney. Every episode should revolve around her. She is also a mom.

LET'S DISCUSS DOWNTON. WHY THE HELL DID YOU KILL MATTHEW? Seriously? Sad thing is I knew it was coming kind of because I remember people freaking out about it when it actually aired but I was like uh I tried that show and it sucked so I don't care, but I should know that you need to give shows a second (sometimes third chance, I'm looking at you Sopranos) before ruling them out and here I am. Matthew is dead and I wanted to cry all of the tears and I'm seriously not happy about it AT ALL. So fine, I'll catch up with everyone else and we'll go from there. Rest in peace sweet Matthew.
