30 by 30

So, I have this girlcrush, her name is Haley (don't worry, she knows she's my girlcrush) and she posted this extremely awesome idea on her adorable blog about her desire to complete a bucket list of 30 things before she turns 30.

What a cool idea!

So here I am, copying her...again.

It took me a bit to come up with the list, I may change it as it comes along but for now I'm quite happy with it.

1. Collect more snow globes (according to Zack, three doesn't constitute a collection).
2. Visit Europe*.
3. Have/adopt a baby.
4. Trade in Dorothy the reliable Corolla for Bea Arthur the badass Rav4.
5. Go on a cruise with Zack.
6. Go to Comic-Con.
7. Publish a book.
8. Learn to knit.
9. Read the Bible all the way through.
10. Build something out of wood/refurbish something.
11. Make a cake with fondant.
12. Sky dive.
13. Get sucked into one television show as a family for a year.
14. Go to Universal Studios in Floridaland so I can ride the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter (thank you Michael Doxey for reminding me that it is NOT in Disneyworld).
15. Re-read all of the Harry Potter books.
16. Go to a vineyard and attend a classy wine tasting.
17. See the pink ladies (aka the "house" from Full House).
18. Go to New York and stand on Carrie Bradshaw's stoop.
19. See a musical on Broadway (yes, I did see Rent on Broadway with some of the original cast but I can do it again!).
20. Take a pottery class.
21. Ski on a medium-hard slope.
22. Have a conversation with a drifter (inspiration for a piece I hope to write).
23. Visit the gravesite of Jim Morrison*.
24. Meet Betty White*.
25. Fly in a helicopter.
26. Watch all 3 Lord Of The Rings back to back.
27. Go horseback riding.
28. Beat a video game (WoW doesn't count).
29. Sew a dress.
30. Enjoy many happy days.

Okay so I kind of copped out on #30, it's harder than you think to come up with those. Those marked with a * I may not be able to complete in the next 4 years, but I am leaving them on anyway since I've always wanted to do those.

Better get started.

  1. I'm so, so, SO happy you did one! and thanks for the shout out girl :) I simply adore your list. There were a few that I want to add to mine!!!...including 1, 2, 9, 12, 13, 20, and 26 :)

I took pottery for 2 years in high school and LOVED it...and taking it now would be awesome. If I find a cool place for classes I'll let you know...how rad would that be if we took pottery classes together??? :)
