I'm pretty sure that there is a ghost in the house. I am serious. In between rain and thunder I can hear other things. And Aadi sees things, and we all know that dogs can sense the paranormal. Haven't you watched those documentaries on Netflix about it? Yeah! I just hope they don't die or something.
I think he is a nice ghost. He hasn't really bothered me or anything, but I am aware of him. I've never felt or seen him so honestly I could be wrong, but I just like the idea of having a ghost friend around to make sure the bad ghosts stay the heck away from me.
When I was growing up we had a ghost in our house that my mother called Casper (original, yes). I never encountered Casper myself however my mother swore up and down that she felt him push her into the tub one morning while she was leaning over and washing her hair. I believe her, she is my mother, they don't tell lies, mothers. So my entire childhood I assumed there was a ghost in the house who was just hanging out. Secretly, I always wanted to be a little spooked by him but no dice.
Then there was the Graycliff Lodge incident. Up one of the canyons here there is an old home turned restaurant where my father worked in his younger days. He also swore up and down that the ghost, known as Spargo, would turn the glasses over in the dining area while my father was away in the kitchen. I can even hear his voice describing the noise..clink, clink, clink... I thought at this point it meant that ghosts run in my family.
That being said I was kind of excited at the thought of a Daniel (yes, I gave him a name) in my house. I'm not terribly afraid and I've never seen proof but the thought it kind of funky as long as he minds his own business and doesn't freak out the dogs that much. A little bit is okay.
One day maybe I'll do a seance and try to communicate and see if he knows any good stories. The only time I've successfully performed a seance was at the Lizzie Borden house in Massachusetts and that was by far the most horrifying experience ever I am not sure I want to replicate it. But I also don't think that Daniel murdered his family and got away with it.
Or did he?
