future kiddos

So at this moment there are three people that are causing me to have baby brain. Two are prego and one is just discussing it. While I am not at the moment with child it has been a topical discussion in my home for a few years, and one day I'm sure we'll procreate/adopt...one day :]. But while the topic is on my mind, I've been reading up and such about what kind of mom/parent I/we want to be.

It's no secret that I'm a creepy hippie but that doesn't mean I'm going to make my child wear clothes made from burlap. I'm excited about the baby-wearing and cloth diapering options though, I must say. I do laundry anyway, I don' mind extra loads if it means not having to constantly run out for diapers. I'm sure I'll have disposable diapers on hand because, ya know, that just makes sense.

Delivery? Drugs sound awesome, and so does a water-birth. More research needs to be done in that area, but right now I'm still leaning toward drugs and hospital. I just don't know yet, especially with it being my first child. How does that all work again?

My kid will probably go to Catholic school. I'm open to options but I think it seems like a good idea for my family. In earlier years I honestly doubt I'll be a stay-at-home mom. I'd love the idea of being with baby 24/7 however I know myself well enough to know that I would get bored and not be as productive. A few days off, a few days at work for my and my husbands sanity will probably be a good route to go.

So many other things to consider. I can't even begin to fathom it right now but the truth of the matter is, I'm not getting any younger and it's time to start really looking into these things. So I figured that I'd at least get some of these out there.
