Okay. Batman. My favorite freaking superhero of all time. There will probably be spoilers, just so you know. It's my blog.

I cannot even tell you my excitement for this movie. Not as much as Harry Potter, but more than any other movie besides Harry Potter. Yeehaw!
Zack sucks and got to see it at a press screening the Wednesday before it opened. I sat up in bed waiting for him to get home, thus breaking my 9pm bedtime, but I figured this was a just cuase.
He got home and he had this look on his face that was just pure disbelief. I demanded to know what happened and like a good husband he wouldn't say anything. I had guessed on my own that Joseph Gordon-Leavitt would end up being Robin. Rumors of him potentially being the Riddler were squashed long ago so I figured Robin was his only option. He has tough shoes to fill, I love Chris O'Donnell.
All Zack would tell me is that he cried. I'm not surprised, him and I are both wildly emotional, but the fact that he cried means that I would lose my mind.
So I slept. And the next day er...night...er...morning two days later...we went to the midnight:thirty showing. Now again, I had to break my beddtime which was hard. But I did. And it was so, unbelievably worth it.
My thoughts.
1. Anne Hathaway did not suck. I was surprised. Don't get me wrong, I love her and think she is magical, but taking on the role of Catwoman? Big deal to me since I heart Michelle Pfieffer. I guess my first clue that she would do a good job was the fact that I assumed Heath Ledger wouldn't make a good joker and obviously I was very wrong there.

2. Bane, man. Bane had the coolest voice everrrr. I know I am in the minority, most people were thrown by it, but it creeped me out, which was the idea.

3. Anyone else feel like you were watching the Inception sequel? Seriously I was waiting for Leo to jump out at me.
4. Oh Alfred, you tender soul. Nothing broke my heart more than him.
5. I'm still unsure on the end...I won't say too much but I think that what Alfred saw was a dream...since Nolan is done with his part it makes sense that the Batman would be no more. Oh man, it hurts to say that.
At the very end I was basically snotting all over myself, it was that sad. The dude sitting next to me nudged me and said, "Me, too, man." Him and his frat boys were all bawling as well pretty much along with everyone else in the theater. Definitely a great ending to my favorite movie/superhero trilogy of all time.
Awww thought all the same. Literally when bane spoke for the first time it was so creepy and unexpected that I looked around to make sure it wasn't in the theater and that I wasn't going to get shot...
