Love is in the air.

Today starts the month a February. The month that brings us such great thing as Garth Brooks (his birthday is on the 6th), Necco Wafer hearts and some of the best romantic movies. While we can’t send you all cute little boxes of the candy heart and Garth tickets would bust our budget we can guild you to the best of the best of the best romantic movies. Not included: popcorn and tissues.
The Notebook- I will level with you, I adore Rachel McAdams. As far as I am concerned she is perfection. My first exposure to her was in her totally Fetch performance in Mean Girls. Later that year she joined Ryan Gosling (and his abs) in this tear jerker about a love this was torn apart by parents that wouldn’t let it be but unlimitedly would be. The only question you’ll have after this movie is what made you cry more, the kiss in the rain or the old folk’s home.
My Fair Lady- Two legends of the silver screen, Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle and Rex Harrison as Professor Henry Higgins, combined artistic talents to create this timeless master piece. The story, in musical fashion, tells the story of a young flower girl named Eliza by Professor Higgins and thrusts her into high society life with a love that sneaks up on him right at the very end. Think Pretty Woman but with more English accents and less Julia Roberts laughing. This movie really is quite loverly.

Moulin Rouge- 2002 brought us many awesome things: Ugg Boots, The Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and the burning question “Can you really go wrong with Can-Can dancing in bohemian France?" Oh lala! Nichole Kidman and Ewan McGregor bring to life the star crossed lovers in this romantic musical. And the soundtrack! AHHHH the soundtrack!!!! Absolute brilliance.
West Side Story- To retell the tale of Romeo and Juliet is a hard task to take on. Leonard Bernstein places the lovers in New York City in the 1960’s among the rival gangs of the Americans Jets and Puerto Rican Sharks. Within the fights (dance fights that is) Tony and Maria fall in love at first sight. Some of the BEST music ever written lies in the score. Really.
Wall-e- Robots in love? Yes, Please! Wall-e is the last robot left on earth, on a mission to clean up the mess left by the humans. While completing this inane task, he is interrupted by another Robot, Eve, who was sent down to find any life left on earth. The one thing she did find was the heart of Mr. Wall-e. I dare you not to get a little misty eyed at least once during this adventure by Disney and Pixar.

Titanic- At the mention of the name, I start singing the ‘Oh oohh ohhh oh’ Titanic theme. The movie aboard the cruise liner is one that has been grasping at heart springs for 15 year (make you feel old, huh?) Jack and Rose is the most romantic love story that only lasts over the course of just a few day but their love will go on and on. How many of you will be pulling out your double edition VHS this Valentine’s day.
Love having you here, Dox. Show him some love!!
Oh MDH, you need to have a proofreader on your permanent staff. The content is amazing, spelling and grammar needs improvement. Gotta go, it's 5am and Kurt Hummel is singing me "Le Jazz Hot."
