type-o-tuesday

Today's type-o-tuesday comes from my brother Brek. He's recently started working on some pretty cool typography so I thought periodically I would share some of his work. No rhyme or reason, but I'm impressed nonetheless! Here are each of his pieces and his words. Thanks again, dude, you continue to amaze me.


Croon- The inspiration from this piece is from a book of short stories from one of my favourite authors, Joe Meno. I used a style of bird commonly found in some of my other work and the style of lettering is fun and a bit campy.


H'EYE- The idea for this piece has been bouncing around my brain for some time now. It means nothing. It alone is just a visual. Along with the conjured word play on "hi", the graphic could be considered cerebral in its emotionless state.

Psycho- I stumbled upon a Tumblr that is dedicated to minimal movie posters (this was after i had already created The Shining poster). Looking through all of them, some created by professionals and some by amateurs, i decided to create one. Why not pick the IMDB top thriller. There are a lot of them out there, some very similar to mine, but i think the colour choices and bold black font for the title give it its character.
