Ah, the guest post. I'm really excited/nervous about this so I hope it's well-received. Head on over to Jess's blog and read my fun-filled guest post and fall in love with her like I did. She is hilarious and we have an interweb relationship. Hey, she went there so I did, too.
I apologize for any typos or repeated phrases, I only proof-read it 6000 times but sometimes that's too much?
And if you have any questions for me as a Catholic living in Utah feel free and ask! We're not much different, I promise. Religion has never been a big deal or barrier for me in making friends at all so lets all hang out.
Very nicely done Jordan.
ReplyDeleteread your guest post Jordan...loved it :) Your honesty was refreshing! I'm glad that, overall, Mormons have made a good impression on you (especially my Adam:) I think it's sad when people let religious differences get in the way of making friends and learning from others and their life experiences. And I can't tell you how much I respect that when others were choosing paths you didn't feel you wanted to take, you held your own and made a big decision that was best for you. that says a lot! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd when I read about Zachariah I had to laugh a little ;)
Great job! Very well put. And I'm glad to hear that Abbie Smoot was nice to you. I've known her family for a long time. Abbie was probably around 7 or 8 when I moved to Centerville. It's funny how time flies. By the time I met you I was discovering myself and leaving the mormon religion. I can tell you that I now know the isolation it can hold, but it's ok. They don't know any better sometimes.
