Me again.
So I've spent the better part of the morning reading a bunch of different blogs. Fashion blogs, mommy blogs, food blogs, lifestyle blogs, comedy blogs, so many blogs. There is a multitude of categories in which I could write about and judging by my history I have a rough time settling on one style. I figured that I was going to go more the lifestyle route. That seems like a broad spectrum, right? I figure with that I can do random fashion posts and random food posts and eventually random mommy posts because they all fit into the lifestyle category. I also try to be funny, mostly I fail, but I put forth an honest effort. I'm not sure how to write comedy but when I look back at any of my writing over the years comedy plays a large role. Usually when asked to describe a situation what spurts out of my mouth requires a two drink minimum, or so I've been told. I feel I can convey things that are somewhat discomforting better through comedy or something of a similar variety. Bear with me while I try and if I'm not funny, nicely tell me. I have some segments I'm going to be trying out, they may stick, they may not. I just really appreciate the time people have taken to look at my blog recently, my heart responds. Now I totally see why people do this sort of thing.
I've always wanted to be a writer, I can't even describe how long I have wanted that. I have never been able to figure out what type of writer I've wanted to be and I've been using this blog as a creative outlet to find that voice. Sometimes I'm happy, sometimes sad, I get obsessive with things like tv, movies, food, and I want to lump that all into one form of writing. Articles are what I am best at, don't even ask me to write fiction, it will come off like an eight year olds "What I did for my summer vacation" essay. I've just now found the random inspiration in the blogosphere to start really trying. I've already found some great mentors and some I even will call friends through this and it's been great to get to know other people through my blog and theirs. I'm really excited to learn more and just thought I'd stop in to explain why things may be slightly scatywhompus until the actual voice of this bloggy here is found.
I feel that we may grow together in this adventure. Love it! And you're funny.
