It is that time for the obligitory "What I am thankful for" post. Now, I am not saying being thankful is a bad thing, of course it isn't, however they are very ubiquitous this time of year and I don't want to bore anyone. Then I started thinking, I don't care, I am THANKFUL...and this post was born!
1. I am thankful for my extremely healthy appetite.
I eat a lot and it's awesome. I don't care if I am not a stick person, I'd rather be able to enjoy a steak and a beer. Now, I understand eating that all the time would probably kill me and no one wants that, so I'm quite thankful for salad, but what is the fun of all of this amazing food if you can't enjoy it in heaps and bounds? Jesus would want me to eat.
2. I am thankful for our xbox.
Wives, go ahead and hiss at me. I am thankful we have an xbox. It keeps Zack happy and happy husbands rule. It also is a place where I can watch Netflix and Hulu Plus and dvds when I'm too lazy to hook up the dvd player. The avatar for Zack's xbox live account terrifies Aadi and that is entertainment that you cannot buy (actually you can, for the price of an xbox live account).
3. I am thankful for coffee and tea.
This basically explains itself. Caffeine = happy, skin cancer free Jordan.
4. I am thankful for tv on dvd.
I don't know if I could live without it. Zack and I have gotten into so many television shows and it's kind of our way of having random little date campouts in our bedroom. We'll turn on Breaking Bad, The Big Bang Theory or Ghost Adventure and watch all the episodes in succession for many many days in a row. Its a constant that I've grown accustomed to. I almost do this on my own as well whether at work or while Zack is busy playing on my #2 most thankful. Shows such as Gilmore Girls, The Golden Girls and most currently, Home Improvement (hoh, oh oh).
5. I am thankful for really terrible movies.
Without gems like Grease 2 and New York Minute what would I have to watch (besides everything mentioned in #3) while dying my hair?
6. I am thankful for Regina's Puff's Plus kleenex she has at work that I have been stealing (sorry) because I am a raging ball of phlegm today.
I am so gross today, my nose is running and my head is stuffy and I just want someone to sing me Soft Kitty. However, if Regina didn't have these Puff's Plus Kleenexes for me to steal I'd be in a much worse state.
7. I am thankful for Neil Diamond.
I feel very strongly that without his sparkly shirts, the sequin trend of today would not be as big as it is. Thank you, Neil.
8. I am thankful that Utah finally got an In-n-Out burger (or several).
At the risk of sounding "trendy" In-n-Out may very well be my most favoritest fast food in all of the world. I love their burgers and sauce and even their itty, bitty fries (for the little kids, as my mother would say). I could eat there every day though I'd probably die...as explained in #1.
9. I am thankful that I woke up this morning despite the fact that I turned off my alarm the first time it went off.
Otherwise I would have been late today and that would have sucked.
In all honesty I am very much thankful for the health and wellness of family and friends, I'm thankful to have a job and a fun hobby. I'm thankful for my doggies and my home and a husband who totally is in love with me and I with him. Life is good and I'm happy to have it!
Other people are thankful too...hey, I did do a list-o-links!
They are thankful...
...and they are thankful
...and I'm sure more are thankful but those are all the posts I could find.
