discoteque...we keep it on the dance floor

This morning as I rolled into day job I decided to listen to a song that has recently become a favorite on my ipod. I'm not sure what compelled me, but oddly enough it put me in the greatest mood (which is needed for my job, trust me). As I was singing along, trying to figure out how to make this an essential duet for my birthday karaoke shindig, it make me want to get all glammed up as well. This is a big step for me considering it was only within the last two months that I acutally started getting ready in the morning.

Now that we all feel good and better (how can you not?) I put together some pieces that would bring this song to life on the dancefloor. Basically I wish I could dress like this all of the time and I really wish that I could have been a member of Jefferson Starship.

I could wear this frock all day, but it would definitely make me feel like a glamourous disco ball, which is exactly the look I am going to be going for.

Oh, I love her anyhow, but she rocks this headband without making it look too "hippie" which has always been my problem with headbands. Why am I not surprised? She can rock anything, including Joel Madden (yes, I went there).

I had to go with Louboutin, wouldn't you? Even with my giant aversion to anything peep-toe, I'd be willing to overlook it for these babies.

Why not mix up all this gold with a little silver? I love the look of these thicker bangle bracelets, they would look fantastic without being too distracting.

Alright, who wants to go to Studio 54?
