Saturday morning I spent some time at the Utah Pride Center to find out how to become a volunteer.

This is an organization that is pretty dear to me, I have a lot of friends that I refer to as "my gays" and so I find the Pride Center to be a wonderful place where everyone can feel accepted and I'm excited to spend some of my time there and meet some new people.
I met with Chris at about noon, there were a few other girls in our group, and we started our orientation. We learned a lot about the history of the center, what we will be doing for our volunteer hours which is really just meeting with anyone that comes into the center, directing them in the right way, we can't offer too much in the terms of advice and things, which makes sense, but it will still be nice to be there. Plus it's in a coffee shop and I now get 10% off. I swear this wasn't incentive.
I'm really excited to start, they have a lot of fun activities and I love being in a non-discriminitory atmosphere. I love the feeling of total acceptance and tolerance. This is going to be really good.

When I was in High School I attended Animal Rights meetings every Friday night at this place! I always loved the environment! I bet this is going to be amazing :)
