100. i've been bitten by travel bug

As far as today goes I drove into work in the snow feeling straight out of the Fast Car by Tracy Chapman video. I’m not really sure what that means, but basically it was a grey sky and lots of freeway so it just felt relevant.

On the contrary, I was listening to the Counting Crows which seems like perfect rainy/snowy weather and I wished I was back home painting or something even though I don’t paint. I wish I could stay home a lot lately. I’ve become such a homebody, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’ve been thinking about travel. I have a few friends that have been lucky enough to travel, one of which has had the opportunity to live overseas for a little more than a year. I find that so inspiring, it just makes me want to see the world even more.

In my mind I’d like to take a trip back east next year to see NYC (mainly so I can see a certain musical…or two), Jersey, DC and Philly. Both Husband and I have a few friends that way so it would be nice to do that and spend time with them in their hood since they’re visiting next month for our “reception”.

After that, we once talked about our 10-year plan of spending a month in Europe. I would very much enjoy seeing so much of Europe instead of living vicariously through friends blogs, namely this lovely lady.
